4th Mirchi Music Awards

The 4th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2011. The ceremony was held on 21 March 2012 at the Bhavan's College Ground (Andheri), Mumbai and was hosted by Shaan and Usha Uthup. There were many performances, including those by Saif Ali Khan, Parikrama, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri and Mika Singh. There was a live jugalbandi featuring Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Lalit Pandit, Salim–Sulaiman, Ram Sampath, Sajid–Wajid and Leslie Lewis. Ash King, Harshdeep Kaur, Neha Bhasin, Anushka Manchanda, Tochi Raina, Shweta Pandit, Dominique and Clinton Cerejo, Kamal Khan, Suman Shridhar, Shefali Alvares, Benny Dayal and Ritu Pathak also performed during the award show. Rockstar won a leading five awards including Album of the Year. Song of the Year went to "Senorita" from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The show was broadcast on 31 March 2012 on Colors.

"Teri Meri" is an Indian Hindi-language song from the (2011) Bollywood film Bodyguard directed by Siddique, starring Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The song was sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Shreya Ghoshal. The song was composed by Himesh Reshammiya, while its lyrics were penned by Shabbir Ahmed. The song along with the other tracks was released on 27 July 2011.

Bodyguard is a 2011 Indian Hindi-language romantic action film directed by Siddique from a screenplay by Siddique, J.P. Chowksey, Kiran Kotrial and Aloke Upadhyaya. It is a remake of the 2010 Malayalam film of the same name directed by Siddique and stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor, with Raj Babbar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Aditya Pancholi and Hazel Keech in supporting roles. In the film, bodyguard Lovely Singh (Khan) is hired to shadow Divya Rana (Kapoor), and falls in love with Chhaya, a fake identity created by Divya.

He made his debut in 2004 with Salman Khan's Garv and has written songs for movies like ‘Wanted’, ‘Kya Love Story Hai’, ‘Partner’, ‘Apna Sapna Money Money’ and ‘Jodi Breakers’ amongst others. Ahmed credits his success in Bollywood to Salman Khan.[2]

Personal life

Shabbir Ahmed was born in Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh and he got his basic education there. Later he moved to Mumbai for his livelihood. He married Shumaila Ahmed on 13 May 2014 and held a reception at Mumbai’s Lokhandwala Celebration Club on 14 May 2014.[3]

The 4th Mirchi Music Awards, presented by the Radio Mirchi, honoured the best of Hindi music from the year 2011. The ceremony was held on 21 March 2012 at the Bhavan's College Ground (Andheri), Mumbai and was hosted by Shaan and Usha Uthup. There were many performances, including those by Saif Ali Khan, Parikrama, Shreya Ghoshal, Bappi Lahiri and Mika Singh. There was a live jugalbandi featuring Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy, Lalit Pandit, Salim–Sulaiman, Ram Sampath, Sajid–Wajid and Leslie Lewis. Ash King, Harshdeep Kaur, Neha Bhasin, Anushka Manchanda, Tochi Raina, Shweta Pandit, Dominique and Clinton Cerejo, Kamal Khan, Suman Shridhar, Shefali Alvares, Benny Dayal and Ritu Pathak also performed during the award show. Rockstar won a leading five awards including Album of the Year. Song of the Year went to "Senorita" from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The show was broadcast on 31 March 2012 on Colors.
