Lars-Christer Olsson (born 1950) from Sweden was UEFA chief executive from 7 November 2003[1] until he resigned on 1 February 2007.[2] He was succeeded by Gianni Infantino from Switzerland.

It governs football, futsal and beach football in Europe and the transcontinental countries of Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Kazakhstan, as well as some Asian countries such as Israel, Cyprus and Armenia. UEFA consists of 55 national association members. Because of the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, FIFA and UEFA suspended all Russian national teams and clubs from any FIFA and UEFA competitions.

Giovanni Vincenzo "Gianni" Infantino is a Swiss football administrator and the current president of FIFA. He was first elected to the office during the 2016 FIFA Extraordinary Congress in February 2016, was re-elected in June 2019 and in March 2023. In January 2020, he was also elected a member of the International Olympic Committee.
