Churuli is a 2021 Indian Malayalam-language science fiction horror film directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and written by S. Hareesh, starring Vinay Forrt, Chemban Vinod Jose, Joju George, Soubin Shahir and Jaffar Idukki in key roles. The film was produced by Lijo Jose Pellissery and Chemban Vinod Jose under the banner of Movie Monastery and Chembosky Motion Pictures, with Jesto Varghese, O Thomas Panicker and Naushad Salahudin as co-producers. The original story and characters are based on a short story Kaligeminarile Kuttavalikal from the book Mullaranjanam written by Vinoy Thomas.

The screenplay is written by Arun Anirudhan and Justin Mathew. The film stars Tovino Thomas and Guru Somasundaram. The story follows the life of Jaison, a young tailor who gains superpowers after being struck by lightning, and transforms into a superhero.

Veyil is a 2006 Indian Tamil-language drama film written and directed by Vasanthabalan. Bharath and Pasupathy are the male leads whereas Bhavana, Priyanka and Sriya Reddy plays the female leads. Upon release, the movie met with highly positive reviews and was commercially successful. The film was remade in Bengali Bangladesh as Antor Jala starring Zayed Khan and Pori Moni. The first third of Veyil is very loosely based upon the 1988 Italian classic Cinema Paradiso. It is the first Tamil language film screened at Cannes as part of the 2007 Cannes Film Festival under the 'Tous les Cinemas du Monde’ section.

Bheeshma Parvam is a 2022 Indian Malayalam-language action thriller film produced and directed by Amal Neerad. The film stars Mammootty in the lead role alongside an ensemble supporting cast including Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Farhaan Faasil, Nadhiya Moidu, Dileesh Pothan, Jinu Joseph, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Harish Uthaman, Lena, Shebin Benson, Anagha, Nedumudi Venu, K. P. A. C. Lalitha and Sudev Nair. The movie is written by Amal Neerad and Devadath Shaji with Ravisankar credited as an additional screenwriter. Manu Jose aka RJ Murukan has penned the additional dialogues.

Appan is a 2022 Malayalam-language drama film co-written and directed by Maju and jointly produced by Josekutty Madathil, and Ranjith Manambarakkat under the banners of Sunny Wayne Productions and Tiny Hands Productions. The film stars Wayne as a rubber tapper, with Ananya, Alencier Ley Lopez, Grace Antony, and Pauly Valsan featuring in major supporting roles. The cinematography of Appan was done by Pappu and was edited by Kiran Das. The soundtrack was composed by Dawn Vincent.
