The 2015 UTSA Roadrunners football team represented The University of Texas at San Antonio in the 2015 NCAA Division I FBS football season. That was the fifth season for football at UTSA and their third as members of Conference USA in the West Division. Larry Coker returned as the team's head coach for a fifth season. The Roadrunners played their home games at the Alamodome. They finished the season 3–9, 3–5 in C-USA play to finish in a three way tie for third place in the West Division.

On January 5, head coach Larry Coker resigned.[1] In five seasons as UTSA's first head coach, Coker had a record of 26–31.

After the season, tight end David Morgan II became the first NFL Draft pick from UTSA when he was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the 6th round.[2]

As in 2015, the draft took place at the Auditorium Theatre and Grant Park in Chicago. The draft began on Thursday, April 28 with the first round, and ended on Saturday, April 30. The Tennessee Titans, the team with the fewest wins in the NFL for the 2015 season, traded the right to the top pick in the draft to the Los Angeles Rams, the first time the top pick was traded before the draft since 2001 when the San Diego Chargers traded their first pick to the Atlanta Falcons. Ohio State became the second school to have three players drafted in the top ten and to have five players drafted in the first round.

UTSA announced their 2015 football schedule on February 2, 2015. The 2015 schedule consist of 6 home and away games in the regular season. The Roadrunners will host C-USA opponents Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, and Rice, and will travel to Charlotte, North Texas, Southern Miss, and UTEP.[3]

It was made possible by Student Government initiatives starting in 2006 by then-student body president Benjamin Comstock and student body vice president Jordan Van Dyne, namely the first step of organizing a transparent student vote on football that disclosed possible hikes in tuition fees as a result of football. The online poll was approved by the Student Senate and administered in collaboration with the University's IT Department. Despite the possibility of potential rises in student fees, the vote clearly displayed a student interest in a football team. The program began play during the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season.
