The 1936 United States presidential election in Oklahoma took place on November 3, 1936, as part of the 1936 United States presidential election. Voters chose 11[2] representatives, or electors, to the Electoral College, who voted for president and vice president.

Oklahoma was won by incumbent President Franklin D. Roosevelt (DNew York), running with Vice President John Nance Garner, with 66.83 percent of the popular vote, against Governor Alf Landon (RKansas), running with Frank Knox, with 32.69 percent of the popular vote.[3][4]

To date, the 1936 election is the last in which the following counties voted for a Democratic Presidential candidate: Alfalfa, Blaine, Ellis, Garfield, Kingfisher, Tulsa, Washington and Woodward.[5]

The 1936 United States presidential election was the 38th quadrennial presidential election, held on Tuesday, November 3, 1936. In the midst of the Great Depression, incumbent Democratic President Franklin D. Roosevelt defeated Republican Governor Alf Landon of Kansas. Roosevelt won the highest share of the popular and electoral vote since the largely uncontested 1820 election. The sweeping victory consolidated the New Deal Coalition in control of the Fifth Party System.

John Nance Garner III, known among his contemporaries as "Cactus Jack", was an American Democratic politician and lawyer from Texas. He served as the 32nd vice president of the United States under Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1941 and as the 39th speaker of the United States House of Representatives from 1931 to 1933. He and Schuyler Colfax are the only politicians to have served as both speaker of the House and vice president of the United States.

William Franklin Knox was an American politician, soldier, newspaper editor, and publisher. He was also the Republican vice presidential candidate in 1936, and Secretary of the Navy under Franklin D. Roosevelt during most of World War II. On December 7, 1941, Knox, flanked by his assistant John O’Keefe, walked into Roosevelt's White House study around 1:30 pm EST, and announced that Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor.
